HANDICAPPED, BLIND OR DISABLED ADVENTURERS and/or ADVENTURE SEEKERS*...

THINK PHILIPPINES!

  1. Your younger Filipina fiancée or wife will be a trained caregiver when she arrives (and let's face it, you will surely need that before she does, ha ha);
  2. If you will let her, she should easily be able to find a job with her diploma or caregiver certification (such as a nurses aid, etc.);
  3. You now have her BUSY in a school usually filled with ladies only, thus her mind and body are occupied and not out flirting, etc.; and
  4. By supporting her in a school, you have earned the title of "mabait" to her parents, family, friends and neighbors! (good, generous, loving and caring.) Even more important is the fact that she will stay busy and not just sit at home nervously worrying and waiting through the petition process! (Just be sure to verify the school giving the caregiver course and the cost of the course!)

MEDICAL & DENTAL ASSISTANCE IN PHILIPPINES

Another benefit which can actually result in savings that exceed the cost of the trip is that if one carefully plans their trip ahead of time, the Philippines is an excellent place to have medical and/or dental matters done at only a fraction of the cost. And the quality of medical and dental care is excellent! However, just as in the states, you should check out your health care provider in advance. I have experienced both dental and medical attention in Philippines with HUGE savings and GREAT results! Most medications are much cheaper there also.

YOUR MEDICATIONS - A HELPFUL TIP

Even though most medications and treatments are available in the Philippines, I strongly suggest you ask your doctor and/or pharmacist for a three-month prescriptions for all medicines you take.. This is especially true for diabetics. Not only are some medications more expensive in other countries, but many visitors to the Philippines wish to stay longer than their anticipated return date once they experience life, loving and living in the Philippines. Always ask your pharmacy for a computer printout of all your current prescriptions and keep a copy with your tickets, as well as one copy in each of your bags. Remember, you may very well be asked to prove your legal prescriptions in the airports. I have had this happen MANY times.
